FAQ's
Q: What is a Mobile Notary?
A: A mobile notary service means we come to you! A mobile notary is a notary public that travels to various locations to perform notarial acts. The fees charged by mobile notaries tend to be higher than traditional notaries due to travel related expenses and nuances including but not limited to gas, tolls, parking, time, traffic, and of course the occasional parking/speeding ticket.
Q: Can I come to your location?
A: We do not have physical store location that you can come to for your notary services. The addresses displayed in our ads and on our website are for written correspondences and mailing purposes only. Our service is strictly mobile and by appointment only.
Q: How do I schedule a notary appointment?
A: You can schedule an appointment by calling us at 214-926-5706, emailing us at tiffany@crosseveryt.com, or booking online by clicking calendly.com/crosseveryt.
Q: What areas do you cover?
A: We cover the DFW Metroplex including Dallas, Tarrant, and Ellis County.
Q: How much do you charge for your services?
A: Our fees vary based on what service(s) you require as well as your location and availability of our notaries/service providers in your area. Contact us today at 214-926-5706 for a free quote.
Q: What is a Jurat and how does it differ from an Acknowledgment?
A: A Jurat requires the signer to swear or affirm that the contents of the document are true, usually administered as an oath. An Acknowledgment, on the other hand, verifies that the signer has willingly signed the document in the presence of the notary and that the signature is genuine.
Q: What is a Power of Attorney?
A: A Power of Attorney (POA) is a legal document that grants one person the authority to act on behalf of another in legal, financial, or medical matters. It may be needed to ensure decisions can be made when someone is unable or unavailable to manage their affairs due to reasons like travel, illness, or incapacity.
Q: Can you help with estate planning documents?
A: Yes, we specialize in notarizing estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney, ensuring they are properly executed.
Q: What should I do if my document requires witnesses?
A: If your document requires witnesses, please inform us in advance.
Q: What do I need to bring the notary appointment?
A:Bring the document to be notarized, a valid form of identification (e.g., driver's license, passport), and any witnesses required by the document or state law.
Q: What do I need to a minor's child passport consent form notarized?
A: Completed Form DS-3053: Ensure the form is filled out correctly but not signed by the parent or guardian until they are in the presence of the notary.
Proof of Identity: The parent or guardian must present a valid photo ID to you, such as a driver’s license, passport, or state ID, for identity verification.
Physical Presence of the Signing Parent/Guardian: The parent or guardian must personally appear before you to sign the form, as you need to witness their signature.
Q: Can a notary refuse to notarize a document?
A:Yes, a notary can refuse service if the document is incomplete, the signer lacks proper identification, or there is suspicion of fraud or duress.
Q: What areas do you serve?
A: We serve the DFW Metroplex, including surrounding cities and towns. Contact us to confirm if we cover your location.
Q: Can you notarize documents after business hours or on weekends?
